 FAQs

  • Because planning your dream trip shouldn’t feel like a full-time job!

Think of me as your travel matchmaker, logistics wrangler, and behind-the-scenes magic maker. I get to know your style, then craft a trip that fits you perfectly—whether that means sunrise hikes, private museum tours, late-night jazz clubs, or just a really good poolside cocktail.

You also get access to perks you can’t Google—like room upgrades, VIP amenities, and insider experiences that turn a great trip into an unforgettable one.

No cookie-cutter itineraries. No endless browser tabs. Just smart, thoughtful planning with a personal touch (and maybe a few surprises along the way).

  • Travel & Culture Salon is an affiliate of Fora Travel, which allows us to book with elite partners at competitive rates.

Our preferred partners offer VIP amenities. These vary by location, but can include perks such as:

    • Room upgrade upon arrival

    • Early check-in/ late check-out

    • Daily breakfast for two guests per room

    • $50-$100 USD hotel or resort credit

    • Welcome amenity

    • Cruise: onboard credit, cabin upgrades, reduced deposits, beverage packages, shore excursion discounts, dining packages, free wifi, kids sail free

  • As a Fora travel advisor, I have access to a powerful network of trusted partners, which means my clients enjoy VIP perks—like room upgrades, resort credits, and insider experiences you won’t find on a booking site. But more than that, I offer tailored service that reflects your travel style, whether you’re after a cultural deep dive or a relaxing escape.

Travel & Culture Salon is also shaped by my own journey: I’ve lived and studied in incredible cities like Paris, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Atlanta, and now New York. I’ve traveled across Europe and beyond—not just as a curious explorer, but as a parent navigating trains, museums, and cafés with little ones in tow. I understand the difference between a trip that looks good on paper and one that actually works for real people.

Whether you want help from the ground up or just want to elevate plans you’ve already started, I’ll bring a thoughtful, well-traveled perspective to your itinerary—and make sure the details are as enriching as the destinations.

  • We offer three levels of service depending on how much support you need:

    Hotel & Cruise Bookings
Already know where you're going or that you'd like to cruise? I’ll match you with standout hotels or sailings that suit your style—often with exclusive perks like upgrades, daily breakfast, and resort or shipboard credit.

Cost: Complimentary (I’m paid by the hotel or cruise line—never by you!)

    Destinations & Hotels
Know the type of trip you want but not where to go? I’ll help you choose the perfect destination and present 2–3 hotel options in each one. You pick your favorites, I handle the bookings.

    Cost: $150

    Full-Service Itinerary Planning
Hand over the reins for a fully customized itinerary, including hotels, transfers, experiences, and excursions—with access to insider perks and local partners.

Cost: Starting at $250, with final pricing depending on trip complexity

*At this time, Travel & Culture Salon does not book flights. See our FAQs for why, and how we still support your air travel planning.

  • Yes! I’m happy to handle all the extras that make a trip seamless and special—from airport transfers and train tickets to guided tours, cooking classes, museum reservations, and more. Whether it’s logistics or experiences, I’ve got you covered.

  • I don’t book flights directly for clients, and here’s why:

Airlines no longer partner closely with travel advisors, so I don’t have access to special rates or insider tools, and I wouldn’t be able to easily advocate on your behalf if issues arise. With today’s online platforms, it’s usually quicker (and often cheaper) to book directly.

I recommend using airline points or miles whenever possible for flights—it's one of the best ways to maximize their value. Then let me take care of your hotels or cruises, where I can often secure special perks like upgrades, daily breakfast, and resort credits.

I’m always happy to advise on routes, timing, or which airport to fly into—just let me know!

  • No. Airbnb does not work with travel advisors, and I would have no channel to advocate for you if anything were to go awry or not meet quality standards.

However, I can book private homes, condos, villas, etc. with options all over the world that are professionally managed (so no surprises!).

  • Yes and no. Hotels will not offer perks and VIP upgrades with points booking. What I recommend is booking your flights with points and then letting me handle the rest!

  • Absolutely. When we book on your behalf, we include any applicable rewards or honors program member numbers. That way, you'll receive any perks from your existing status, as well as earn any applicable points.

  • Planning travel – if you have a lot of time – can be fun. It’s what we do!

But you’ll still benefit from using a Fora Advisor. Tell me the hotels you’re interested in and I’ll book them for you so you get perks such as free breakfast, a room upgrade, early check-in or late check-out, at no extra cost to you.

Plus I’ll let you know if my network has any intel on the property that may not be obvious online (like the fact that the room you requested looks onto a wall). It’s like having a best friend who works in travel, and can help you plan your dream trip.
